What is ischemic cardiomyopathy?
Ischemic cardiomyopathy can be explained as the general type of cardiomyopathy. Ischemic cardiomyopathy is caused people having congestive heart failures because of coronary artery diseases. If explained word by word, "Ischemic" simply means that heart is not receiving required oxygen and blood. "Cardio" as everyone knows means heart. Any muscle related disease is known as "myopathy". It is mainly cause due to the congestive heart failure. Angina, unstable angina or a heart disease are some of the symptoms of its cause. The study says that in cardiomyopathy, this form of the disease is extremely common in United States. Middle aged and the elder people are mostly affected by the disease. It is very high risk for a diabetic person. Over weighted person should take care of their weight by doing required exercises and balancing the diet as they are targeted the most due to the high cholesterol level and obesity.
If any of the family member was prone to any heart diseases or had experienced heart attacks of heart failure than the chances of getting affected increase. It is diagnosed only in the case if the heart pumping is slower than required. More stress on the heart can also worsen the case.
