Salad Tips with High Cholesterol
Human body consists of two kinds of cholesterol LDL, the “bad’ cholesterol that is deposited on the walls of the arteries and thus increases your blood pressure and HDL, the “good” cholesterol. Apart from taking medicines our lifestyle also affects the cholesterol levels in the body. The best way is to take foods that lower the LDL and keep us healthy.
To avoid high cholesterol and thereby eliminating the scope for heart diseases, you can include fruits, peas, dry beans, and raw vegetables which helps in lowering the cholesterol as they r rich in fiber and contain water too which helps in metabolic activities. High cholesterol can also be lowered by taking plant originated foods like peanuts, soy products, almonds, avocados and also foods like chili peppers, garlic and onions which have inherent abilities to lower the cholesterol.
While taking salads it is also better to choose among the blueberries which lower the cholesterol with no side effects and pistachios, almonds and walnuts reduces LDL, and walnuts protect your heart when you take them after having high cholesterol foods. Good fats present in foods like avocados and olives help in increasing HDL in the body and thereby protecting you against heart diseases.
